Teleport International Pty Ltd would like to inform our customers of upcoming changes to Australian biosecurity fees and charges, which will take effect from 1 July 2026.
These updates are part of the Australian Government’s annual review of biosecurity cost recovery arrangements. As a result, a number of import-related fees will be adjusted, with most charges increasing by approximately 3.8%.
Key Fee Changes
The following changes may be relevant to importers:
Import Declarations

Permit Application Fees

Inspection & Related Services
Charges for inspections, examinations, and associated activities, including documentation assessment, diagnostics, and cargo clearance, will also increase across service types:

Additional updates
New and revised charging arrangements will apply to selected activities, including diagnostic services and specific consignments. Some charge points and legislative provisions are also being updated or removed as part of broader cost recovery improvements.
